SETUP section
This section is used to set 3D display mode, to select sound parameters, and to calibrate Joystick.
3D display
When you click on 3D display icon a window appears with 8 possible 3D display possible mode.
No external view
Wire view
Wire view + lights
Solid view
Textured view
Textured view + haze
Voxel view
3D using 3D specific board
No external view
This mode does not provide 3D external view, it permits to get more speed on a slow Machine. i.e (386DX).
Wire view
This mode provide a wire 3D external view which permits also to get more speed on a slow Machine. it may be the best solution with a computer based 386.
Wire view + lights
This mode provide a wire 3D external view and all runways, road, etc ... lights
Rendering is more relistic than the previous one, specially in night period.
Solid view
This mode provide Solid Polygon to render external view, with lights. It is the best mode for a computer based 486.
Textured view
This mode provide Textured Polygon to render external view, with lights. It may be preferable to set it only on a strong computer.
Textured view + haze
Voxel view
3D using 3D specific board
These all 3 modes are not yet implemented. We foreseen to implement them in a future version just for the fun, because our main goal is to provide a realistic IFR simulator, and the 3d external view aspect is suffisant with the available mode.
SOUND setup
Click on Sound setup icon to go into sound setup section.
This section permits to select I/O address, DMA, IRQ used by the soundblaster.
Click with the left mouse button on the required parameters and then click OK to save or CANCEL button to return . You could also click on TEST button to check if parameters are well set.
