mMOD options


mVCR is a the program handling playback and recording of media in the mMOD system.

mVCR currently understands the following options:

-a
Append: Append to the data-files instead erasing them before starting recording.

-A
Public: Specify that this is a public session meaning that everybody can control it (everybody will get a controllable VCRApplet in the sessions-screen in mMOD).

-C control_group
Control-group: Use the specified group for control-messaging.

-f filename
Filename: The directory containing the data-files to play back or the directory to record to.

-h
Help: display a brief help-message

-l listen_time_out
Listen-time-out: The player will listen for feedback and stop playing if it doesn't see any packets on the data-channels in the specified time.

-m mapping
Mapping: Specify a media to address/port mapping.
Example: -m audio=225.34.32.43/54323

-n name
Name: The name of this mVCR (to be displayed in the mMOD interface over all currently running sessions).

-o owner
Owner: Use the specified string as owner-identifier. Used by mMOD to find 'your' sessions.

-p
Play: start in play mode

-P control_port
Control-port: Use the specified group for control-messaging.

-Q
Paused: Start paused.

-r
Record: start in record mode

-s sdpfile
SDPfile: Read group information from the specified SDPfile.

-S source
Source: Only record packets from the specified source.

-t ttl
TTL: Use this TTL when playing back a session

-T timeout
Timeout: Stop recording after the specified time.

-v
Verbose: Run in verbose mode. Useful(?) messages will be written to stdout.

-V
Version: Print the current version of the program.

-w
Wait: Don't start recording control-packets until we receive data-packets.
